Senior Quantity Surveyor - KentA leading civil engineering contractor is looking to bring in a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project in Kent.This is a great opportunity for an experienced SQS who wants to work on a large-scale, technically challenging project with a strong pipeline of work behind it.The RoleYou''ll take responsibility for the commercial management of your package, working closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure costs, risks and opportunities are effectively managed.Your responsibilities will include:Managing the commercial performance of allocated packagesCost reporting, forecasting and CVRsSubcontract procurement and managementApplications, valuations and payment processesManaging variations, compensation events and changeIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunitiesSupporting the preparation of final accountsWorking closely with project teams to ensure commercial and operational objectives are alignedMentoring and supporting junior commercial staff where requiredAbout YouWe''re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering or major infrastructure.Ideally, you''ll have:Strong NEC experienceExperience working on major infrastructure projectsA solid understanding of subcontract management and commercial reportingStrong change/variations experienceExcellent communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to work independently while operating as part of a ..... full job details .....
