Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Essex Sector: Infrastructure / Construction Salary: 60,000- 80,000 DOEThe OpportunityAn established construction and infrastructure organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with strong contractor-side experience and a thorough understanding of NEC contracts, particularly Option C. You will play a key role in managing commercial performance, controlling project costs and supporting the successful delivery of complex construction projects. The position would suit someone looking for a long-term opportunity where they can take ownership of commercial responsibilities, work closely with project delivery teams and contribute to the overall success of major infrastructure and construction schemes.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion.Administering NEC contracts, with particular emphasis on Option C target cost arrangements.Managing compensation events, early warnings, change control and contractual notifications.Monitoring project costs, forecasting final accounts and reporting on commercial performance.Managing cost and value reconciliations, cash flow forecasts and financial reporting.Preparing and reviewing applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.Identifying ..... full job details .....
