Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major rail/infrastructure project in London.The successful candidate will have strong NEC contract and subcontract management experience, ideally gained within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor environment. You will be responsible for the commercial management of subcontracts from initial procurement and placement through to final account, while supporting the wider project team with cost control, forecasting, risk and change management.This is a hands-on senior commercial role requiring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with project management, engineering, procurement and client/commercial teams. Main ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely and contract-compliant commercial documentation.Support the procurement team throughout tender processes, including preparation of subcontract documentation.Manage subcontracts from initial placement of order through to final account.Prepare, review and complete subcontract documentation.Prepare, submit and agree interim applications for payment.Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts with subcontractors.Work closely with project management and engineering teams and liaise effectively with the Employer''s commercial team and client representatives.Demonstrate and maintain strong commercial and technical knowledge, working closely with technical teams to develop ..... full job details .....
