Senior Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile highway project in Somerset. Our client is a multi-disciplined contractor delivering highways, utilities and construction projects across the UK and renowned for their investment in their employees. You will be part of a project based commercial team, managing subcontractor package. This is a NEC option C contract. My client is happy to consider applications from candidates who are not local to Somerset and pay accommodation subsistence (tax-free). As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will: Oversee commercial delivery of an NEC contract involving site clearance, excavation, and utility diversions. Be site-present 4 days per week, monitoring cost performance and contract compliance. Manage project finances: forecasting, cost control, and achieving profit/cash targets. Administer contracts, including payments, claims, and change control. Lead procurement and ensure supply chain compliance and performance. Identify risks/opportunities and support resolution of commercial queries and disputes. Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and monthly CVRs. Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with: Experience of working in a similar position for a civils contractor.
