Standard Chartered is hiring a Senior Quantitative Developer for the front office Modelling and Analytics Group. The role focuses on Haskell development (Haskell or Mu) across a range of projects from user-facing GUIs to server-side components and reporting tools. The successful candidate will contribute to architecture design, stakeholder communication, project management, and may take on team leadership. After an initial in-office period of three months, the role can be performed flexibly in time and location, but only from the country of payroll.Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Design and deliver high-performance software and risk models to support revenue generation and bridge front-to-back office needsBusiness: Collaborate with trading and structuring teams to develop and maintain pricing, trading, and risk platforms using Haskell and in-house toolsProcesses: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards; support risk monitoring and reportingPeople and Talent: Lead by example, foster a collaborative culture, and drive continuous improvementRisk Management: Understand and manage key risks, embedding risk monitoring into business processesGovernance: Promote strong governance and regulatory awareness; raise concerns and engage openly with regulators when requiredSkills And Experience
