Senior Public Fundraising Officer

Porchlight is dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness, poor mental health, and poverty. Our donors are at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a Senior Public Fundraising Officer (East) to join our team and help us build genuine, lasting connections with our supporters. As a Senior Public Fundraising Officer, no day will be the same. You will be the primary point of contact for our supporters, providing the high-level care, advice, and encouragement that inspires them to champion our cause. You will take a lead role in developing initiatives to grow income across community groups, businesses, and schools. You will focus on East Kent, with potential travel across the county. You will also play a vital role in raising awareness by delivering compelling talks and building local networks that create enthusiasm for supporting our clients. You will be based at our Canterbury office (with a required attendance of every Tuesday to collaborate with the team), you will also benefit from our hybrid working policy. Working closely with the Public Fundraising Manager, you will act as a spokesperson for our mission, turning engagement into action. Whether you are leading large-scale projects, mentoring colleagues, or managing volunteer speakers, your work will directly empower our supporters to help us change lives.
