A leading Global Commercial Insurer with an outstanding reputation has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Property Underwriter to join its Birmingham team.

As part of its expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced underwriter to take ownership of a profitable property-focused portfolio while also driving new business opportunities.

This role has a strong emphasis on property underwriting, so proven expertise in this area is essential. You will be responsible for both new business and renewals, developing a high-quality portfolio and building strong relationships with key brokers across the Midlands and beyond.Alongside managing and growing your own portfolio, you will play an active role in shaping underwriting strategy, contributing to wider business initiatives, and supporting product development. There will also be the opportunity to mentor more junior colleagues, adding to the overall capability of the team.

The role would suit a Senior Underwriter with solid property experience, or an ambitious Underwriter with a strong technical foundation who is ready to step up. The ability to engage brokers, spot opportunities, and balance commerciality with strong governance will be key to success.
