The Role and Offer Contract: 6 months, with the potential to be extended. Rate: £70 per hour, umbrella inside IR35. Location: East Sussex. Hours: Full-time, primarily day shifts Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate highways project works from initial planning through to completion. Set operatives, gangs, and subcontractors to work safely, providing clear task briefings, reviewing RAMS, and implementing rigorous risk and permit controls. Coordinate labour, plant, materials, traffic management, access, and utilities interfaces to achieve short-term delivery plans. Lead quality checks, manage hold points and inspection records, and ensure all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Act as a guide and mentor to newer project managers on-site Candidate Requirements Proven experience supervising site teams or subcontractors in highways, civils, utilities, public realm, or similar infrastructure environments.
