Overview

Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, and possesses strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. After an induction period, there will be a clear plan to take on team leading and managerial responsibilities.Salary and Hours

Salary:

£50,000 - £60,000 + Company Car or Car AllowanceHours of work:

8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (4.30pm finish on Fridays)Requirements

Project Management experience with a manufacturing company, ideally serving the acoustic container and enclosure sectors.Experience managing or leading a team due to the clear progression path that comes with this position.Experience working in a high-pressure, customer-facing role managing multiple projects simultaneously.Microsoft Office skills are essential.Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will deliver multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on complete customer satisfaction and maximising gross profit, without compromising quality. Responsibilities include managing complex, high-value projects across all business areas to meet the highest standards.Take ownership of a project from customer order to completion, including design, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning phases.Produce detailed programmes of work and chair regular meetings with external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.Liaise with customers to understand changes and convey them to Technical / CAD departments for design/drawing revisions.Undertake thorough site surveys to enable detailed design, then verify drawings on-site prior to manufacture.Communicate with production and procurement to monitor progress and costs, delivering on time and within budget with regular financial and progress reports.Write site-specific risk assessments and method statements, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.Manage installation teams and sub-contractors, monitoring quality and progress, and obtaining final sign-off/acceptance of work.Submit interim project valuations, payment applications and invoice claims.Monitor and control change requests, price accordingly, and obtain variation instructions from customers.Identify non-conformances, record them, and lead lessons learned discussions to prevent recurrence.Management Responsibilities

Manage a team of three experienced Project Managers and one Apprentice.Conduct regular project review meetings, monthly 121s, and annual appraisals.Produce monthly reports against key departmental objectives and overall business goals.Ensure compliance with internal processes with ongoing reviews to facilitate continuous improvement.Lead investigations into departmental non-conformance reports and implement preventative actions where necessary.This role would suit someone who has managed structural projects.
