We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team on projects in Newcastle. Liaise with the Operations Director and site team to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget.Ensure realistic project forecast handover dates and communicate effectively to the Contract Manager.Maintain strong knowledge of contractual obligations for the specific project.Participate in and provide updates for regular cost review meetings with the site teams.Prepare and maintain the project-specific quality plan, ensuring full implementation by all site-team members.Champion the highest standards of safety and quality at all times.Ensure no defects at practical completion with a robust snagging regime throughout the contract duration, especially at handover.Manage all aspects of construction programmes, schedules and trackers.Deputise for the Operations Director at Site Meetings as required.Develop strong working relationships with site teams, clients and subcontractors.Ensure the site complies with all health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.Manage and mentor the Site Team.Assist the Commercial team regarding legal, contract or insurance issues.Liaise with Social Value Manager where applicable to support client commitments.Any other reasonable duties to contribute to the effectiveness of the company and keep management informed.What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

Extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary teams. Residential/Multiroom sector experience is ideal but not essential.Experience promoting and ensuring exemplary health and safety standards on large-scale projects.Technical knowledge of construction build processes and defects.Strong working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.Experience managing Industrial and/or Commercial Projects up to £30 Million.Multi-skilled trade background or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Powerproject.SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely; First Aid Certificate.Personal Attributes
