We have a fantastic opportunity for a PMP qualified Senior Project Manager to join our growing Business Change team here at Greggs. In this key role, you’ll lead our Project Management team and introduce a more structured, best-practice approach to project delivery.As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor, support and build a team of project management professionals to deliver great outcomes for Greggs.You will become part of a fast-growing, progressive working environment as we continue to grow our business. Reporting to the Business Change Manager, the primary responsibility of this role will be planning and delivering agreed changes to the business safely and within agreed guidelines as well as:Lead and mentor the ITandBC Project Management team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and taking on the line management responsibility of that teamSpearhead the adoption and integration of PMP methodology into the teams way of workingManage and deliver complex, high-impact projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring alignment with business goalsCollaborate with senior stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteriaEstablish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure consistent project executionMonitor and report on project performance, risks, and issues, providing strategic recommendations and insightDrive resource planning and allocation across the PM team to optimise delivery capacityChampion change management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycleEnsure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices - seeking to fill any gaps that are foundContribute to strategic planning and portfolio management within the ITandBC function including collaborating on and developing the departments strategic planAbout you
You will already have experience of leading project teams and will show the aptitude to develop an internal network at Greggs however, to thrive in this role, we’re looking for someone who is:Outcome focused and able to apply practical thinking and theory to solve problems and take opportunitiesEngaging in their style and takes pride in clear written, presentation and verbal communicationAstute and aware of how change can help Greggs achieve its business goalsCan demonstrate self-learning and have a genuine passion for professional development of themselves and their teamThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:Have achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification and understand how to effectively apply its principles in a working environmentExperience of building and leading a team of project management professionals with direct line management responsibility.
