Senior Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A leading construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing team. The Senior Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of projects, taking responsibility for delivery, client management and coordination across multidisciplinary teams. This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with solid consultancy experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility within a well-established business.

The successful Senior Project Manager will be trusted to lead projects from the outset, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful delivery. The Senior Project Manager will also support more junior members of the team and contribute to the wider development of the Manchester office. For an ambitious Senior Project Manager, this role offers the chance to strengthen client relationships, broaden project exposure and progress further within a respected consultancy environment.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager will lead projects from early stages through to completion, taking ownership of programme, risk, reporting and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities will include leading client meetings, coordinating consultant teams, managing project programmes, monitoring progress, overseeing risk and ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed cost, quality and time requirements.

The Senior Project Manager will also be expected to provide guidance to junior team members and support the delivery of wider team objectives.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong Project Management experience within a construction consultancy

• A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

• Proven experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

• Good understanding of project governance, risk and programme management

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams

• MRICS, MAPM, ChPP or another relevant professional qualification, or progress towards chartership

• The confidence to manage projects with a high level of autonomy
