SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER Senior Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a successful civil engineering contractor delivering major water, wastewater and infrastructure projects across Scotland.

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who can take ownership of complex projects, lead project teams and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

This is a key appointment within the business, offering the opportunity to play a significant role in the delivery of a growing portfolio of water and civil engineering projects.

As Senior Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of major civils and water projects
• Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Overall responsibility for programme, budget, quality and delivery
• Leading multidisciplinary project teams
• Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply-chain partners
• Developing and maintaining project programmes
• Managing project budgets and commercial performance
• Managing variations, change and contractual issues
• Identifying and mitigating project risks
• Managing client relationships and key stakeholders
• Leading project and progress meetings
• Monitoring project performance against programme and budget
• Ensuring works meet contractual, technical and quality requirements
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
• Providing regular reports and updates to senior management
• Supporting the development of future projects and client relationships

We're looking for an established Senior Project Manager with:

• Extensive experience within civil engineering
• Strong experience delivering water and wastewater projects
• Experience managing large or complex infrastructure projects
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding
• Excellent programme-management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chains
• Strong client-facing ability
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety and CDM
• Relevant engineering or construction qualifications

Experience working with Scottish Water, water authorities, utilities or major infrastructure clients would be highly beneficial.
