Location: Site-based / Office (Hybrid flexibility where applicable)
Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior / Project Manager to take full ownership of project delivery across complex infrastructure or construction schemes.
You will be responsible for leading projects from conception through to completion, ensuring successful delivery against programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives. Acting as the senior on-site leader, you will drive performance, manage multidisciplinary teams, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
·Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion
·Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
·Develop and manage detailed project programmes, including design, procurement, and construction phases
·Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
Commercial & Financial Management
·Take ownership of project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
·Manage change control, variations, and risk/opportunity registers
·Ensure accurate reporting, including monthly project reviews and client reports
Health, Safety & Compliance
·Champion a strong health & safety culture across all project activities
·Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and industry best practice
·Oversee risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
Quality & Assurance
·Ensure all works are delivered in line with specifications and quality standards
·Implement and monitor quality assurance processes on site
·Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across the project lifecycle
Stakeholder & Client Management
·Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
·Lead client meetings and ensure expectations are effectively managed
·Maintain strong working relationships with supply chain partners and third parties
Team Leadership
·Lead, mentor, and develop project teams
·Foster a collaborative and high-performance working environment
·Provide clear direction, support, and performance feedback
Procurement & Supply Chain
·Oversee procurement strategy and supplier performance
·Ensure materials and subcontractors are delivered in line with programme requirements
Key Requirements
·Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role within construction, infrastructure, or engineering
·Strong track record of delivering complex projects through full lifecycle
·Experience managing budgets, programmes, and commercial performance
·In-depth knowledge of health & safety and regulatory requirements
·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
·Strong leadership and team management capability
Desirable
·Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or similar
·Chartered status (or working towards)
·Experience working within NEC or similar contract frameworks
