The Power Transmission and Distribution team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Cabling) to lead our high-profile BTNO Project in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to have overall accountability for successful project delivery – including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/closeout.What you’ll do

Take full ownership of the project lifecycle, ensuring objectives for time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits are achieved.Act as a change agent, providing leadership and management to inspire and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding results.Determine and implement the most effective means of satisfying customer and project requirements.Drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement across all phases of the project.What you\''ll be doing

Prepare internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders.Ensure reports provide relevant information enabling informed, cost-effective decisions in line with strategy.Lead a relentless focus on Zero Harm and stay up to date with changes in legislation.Develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests.Develop high-performing diverse teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with internal training through mentoring and performance management.Lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changes.Ensure procurement plans are in line with project plans to deliver materials/resources/supply chain to meet deadlines.Ensure all work supports handover and certification.Develop, implement, review and update resource-loaded schedules.Ensure expenditure aligns with the budget and resources are used efficiently to control costs.Advocate consistency and reliability of digital data to support data-driven decisions.Qualifications

A track record of project deliveryExperience implementing safe systems of workGood understanding of standard forms of contractsProficient in commercial/project management communicationsEffective communication at all levels of the organisationStrong team management, mentoring and performance management skillsCommercially astuteAbility to work under pressureKnowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metricsSolutions-based problem solvingAbility to inspire a shared business vision

The Following Qualities/Experience Are Desirable

Experience on various project typesMember of a professional management body (APM)Proficient in O365Current driving licenseAttend/Contribute to industry eventsFormal qualification in management/construction or equivalentHolds APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQHolds CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent
