About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects team as part of the Net Zero Teesside project.Role purpose:To deliver all aspects of Temporary Site Facilities including security, logistics, warehousing and to provide Client facing leadership and strategic leadership of the multidisciplinary delivery team;To have overall accountability for successful project delivery including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/closeout;Be a change agent that provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal;To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints: time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.What you\''ll be doing

The successful candidate will: Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders;Ensure adherence to scope/information/configuration management plans;Ensure reports provide relevant information which enables decisions to be made which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall strategy;Ensure scope and package assignment supports the team in coordinated working;Be responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chain;Carry out periodic Safety and Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety initiatives;Monitor effectiveness of the HandS Management System and implement improvement solutions;Develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests;Produce plans for the team to achieve goals/aspirations;Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the team, using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management.Ability to demonstrate a track record of project delivery;Experience in implementing safe systems of work;Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts;Proficient in commercial/project management communications;Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation;Effective team management skills which empower, influence and inspire others to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the team where required;Commercially astute;Able to undertake work in high pressure situations;Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics;A record of a solutions based approach to problem solving;The ability to see the business vision and inspire this shared vision amongst the team.The following qualities/experience are desirable:

Experience of working on a variety of project types;Is a member of a professional management body i.e. APM;Proficient on O365;A current driving licence;Attend and contribute to industry events.The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following:A formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in management/construction (or experience equivalent);Either the APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ;CSCS and SMSTS (or equivalent).About us
