You''ll be working on a next generation submarine programme, taking a lead role within an established Integrated Project Team. You''ll be responsible for the design, development, production, qualification and delivery of a number of major sub systems.Day-to-day, you will be contributing to one of the UK’s major submarine programmes, and be responsible for, the project management of complex engineering projects, ensuring that the delivery teams understand cost, time and quality requirements and remain coordinated in their approach to delivering agreed scope of work. You will be providing end-to-end delivery throughout the project lifecycle and also be responsible for supporting with requirement capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutions and the generation of pricing models and proposal documents.Responsibilities

Contribute to one of the UK’s major submarine programmes with project management of complex engineering projectsEnsure delivery teams understand cost, time and quality requirements and remain coordinated in their approach to delivering the agreed scope of workProvide end-to-end delivery throughout the project lifecycleSupport with requirement capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutionsGenerate pricing models and proposal documentsEssential experience and qualifications

Considerable experience of project delivery in a highly regulated industryPrior experience in building, leading and managing a team in a matrix environmentPrior experience of managing a complex sub tier supply chainPrior experience in a customer facing rolePrior experience managing or contributing to bid submissionsStrong commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial managementStrong communication skillsDirect line management experienceProviding overall operational and strategic management of assigned tasks/projects within your project teamEffectively managing customers, internal stakeholders and suppliersResponsibility and ownership of the project’s finances, including the revenue, margins, cash flow and forecastingThis role requires extensive travel to customer sites as neededExperience delivering solutions with a diverse team of internal resource teams and external supply chains; experience working with senior level managersAPM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous)This position involves occasional travel to customer sites, as a requirement of the role.This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home. Based at Ashton, Bristol.Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met.
