Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.About the RoleYou will take ownership of major sustainability and engineering projects ranging from £25m to £250m, including waste-to-carbon systems, renewable technologies, and nature-based climate solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Research and Development Officer, you will guide projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring they deliver measurable impact and long-term value.This is a high-profile role where you will manage cross-functional teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders. A combination of hands-on, on-site management of our initial biomass based projects in the UK and developing the second wave of both internally delivered and partner focused projects across EMEA. Finally, you will shape the delivery standards and practices and mentor the next generation of project managers.What You Will DoLead the planning and execution of large-scale climate and infrastructure projects from initiation to completionDevelop project plans, budgets, and success metrics; ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryOversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning to the highest standardsManage 3rd party contractors across planning, permitting, design, EPC, building contractors, equipment suppliers and technical implementation partnersManage stakeholder communications across leadership, partners, and external collaboratorsImplement robust safety, risk, and quality assurance frameworksCoach and mentor junior team members; contribute to a strong and inclusive delivery cultureWhat We Are Looking For10+ years of experience delivering complex engineering or infrastructure projects (£25m+)Proven leadership across design, construction, and commissioningExperience in managing EPC, Landlords, contractors and planning/permitting consultantStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to travel within the UK, initially to the Swindon and Cotswold areasExpertise in PM tools, QA/QC, vendor management, and commercial oversightPurpose-driven mindset with motivation to deliver real climate impactDesirable:
