Senior Project Engineer

Blackburn Starling and Co Ltd are looking for a

Senior Project Engineer

to join us on a permanent basis in our Nottingham office. Assisting in the design and delivery of projects across the UK. As part of our wider Design team, you will take on a leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.Responsibilities

Manage all projects allocated to you and your team, including identification/management of risks and production/monitoring of project programme, to ensure success within technical, programme and financial constraints.Communicate effectively with internal personnel, external customers, consultants and subcontractors.Ensure detailed engineering design (mechanical and electrical), manufacture, testing, delivery, installation, commissioning and documentation meet customer requirements and contract specifications.Undertake electrical design using latest technology and techniques (e.g., compliance to BS EN 61439-2) to maximise efficiency.Attend weekly and/or monthly Senior Project Engineers Review Meetings and contribute to improving departmental and business operations.Produce monthly project reports prior to Senior Project Engineers Review Meetings.Prepare technical specifications (and drawings) for sub-contract equipment and participate in supplier tender assessments/negotiations with the Engineering/Commercial Manager.Ensure variations/deviations are issued to customers promptly and that related information and work are processed internally and externally, including cost estimates for submittal to clients to recover changes/variations.What Do You Need?

Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering.Proven track record in manufacturing experience.Experience with LV Switchboard design.Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Control Engineering (e.g., MCC/control panels, control systems) and industrial applications.Full UK Driving Licence.About Blackburn Starling
