Our client, operating in the rail sector, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing the implementation of a new 25kV isolation across the Eastern Region, supporting delivery agents during the transition, and assessing residual electrical hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of [Route] with SAI25 in line with the project implementation plan.
- Collaborate with Delivery Unit (DU) on the development of a residual electrical risk hazard register in collaboration with the SPE.
- Manage and develop solutions for signalling risk assessments required as part of SAI25.
- Lead briefings at the DU level in collaboration with the SPE.
- Lead briefings at ECR/Control in collaboration with the SPE.
- Promote Level 1 Assurance activities within DU regimes.
- Work with the SPE on Special Review Procedures (SRP) activities.
- Assist in collating Electrical Isolation Design Framework (EIDF) information for post-implementation analysis.
- Collaborate with the SPE/Project Manager (PM) on implementing a successful ERAS mentoring schedule.
- Work with the SPE on HAZID Workshop requirements and DRACAS item closeouts.
- Collaborate with the SPE on updating isolation documentation and transferring active TVs/Derogations for migration to SAI25.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly within the rail sector.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects.
- Knowledge of SAI25 standards and their implementation.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to lead briefings and ensure compliance with safety and project standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
