Wave Mobile Money . Wave is building financial services to make Africa the first cashless continent. We launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments, and now have millions of users across six countries. You’ll report to the Chief People Officer and drive projects across the CPO’s full scope (People Operations and Customer Support).

ResponsibilitiesSome specific projects and tasks include:

You’ll have end-to-end ownership of People projects, from first draft to launch, and the space to do it your way.

Work with senior leaders to identify pain points in employee experience and make a business case for how to address them.

Lead cross-functional teams in bringing these initiatives to fruition, including implementation and assessment.

Lead strategic people initiatives across the employee lifecycle including policy management, performance management, OKR tracking and assessment, and knowledge management.

Run and improve People team processes like OKRs, People Team All Hands, internal communications and the employee handbook.

Collaborate with data analysts to build dashboards covering support and people topics; use these dashboards to drive action and influence leadership.

Willingness to travel to one of Wave''s key markets once per year for -6 days (Wave covers all costs). A yearly stipend of $1200 is provided to meet with coworkers.

Participate in performance reviews (twice a year) and potential bonuses or promotions for exceptional performers who have been with the company for more than six months.

Salary range between $112,600 and $197,400 plus a generous equity package.

6 months of fully paid parental leave and subsidized fertility assistance.

Yearly stipend of $1200 to support co-working meetups with team members.

Flexible vacation, with most employees taking 21–30 days per year, exclusive of statutory holidays.

Requirements

8+ years of product, project or program management experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in fast-paced environments (startup or high-growth)

Experience working in a multi-cultural environment

Data fluency; intermediate/advanced in Excel (or equivalent)

French is strongly preferred, but not required

Comfort traveling to West Africa at least twice a year, preferably more
