This historical and family-owned food manufacturer specialises in the production of traditional bakery products that are supplied to major retailers across the UK including Tesco and Waitrose. They produce almost a million units weekly and have plans to continue expanding over the coming years. In this role you will hold overall responsibility for production, overseeing about 40 staff across several lines to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards while also identifying opportunities and implementing projects to improve the business. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years'' production management experience in Food Manufacturing along with demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing projects e.g waste reduction, OOE, TPM, yield improvement etc. This is the perfect role for someone who would prefer to make a larger and more visible impact in a smaller and more relaxed business rather than being a ''cog in the wheel'' at a larger corporation.
