Senior Product Engineer

Avanti Recruitment is working with an established fintech business that is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join its product and engineering team. This role is remote. The company develops specialist software used by wealth managers, financial advisers and other financial institutions to assess investment risk, understand customer behaviour and deliver more personalised financial advice. It''s a relatively small business with an established customer base, and the engineering team is responsible for both maintaining existing enterprise products and developing the next generation of its platform. This is a full-stack position with a strong backend focus, working predominantly with PHP/Laravel alongside React, AWS, Python and API-driven services. The Role The company is looking for an engineer who can take ownership of a problem rather than simply work through a predefined development ticket. You''ll work closely with the Head of Product and the wider technical team to understand business and customer requirements, consider the available approaches and design and build appropriate solutions. Some projects will involve developing entirely new functionality, while others will focus on extending existing products or integrating with systems used by financial institutions.
