Senior Procurement Officer

The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive procurement professional to join a Strategic Procurement and Commissioning team. This role offers the chance to play a key part in supporting procurement activity across a large and complex organisation, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations while delivering value for money and driving best practice. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across a range of services, leading procurement exercises, providing expert advice and helping to shape strategic procurement activity. Key Responsibilities As Senior Procurement Officer, you will: Provide procurement support, advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Standing Orders and relevant legislation. Lead and deliver a range of procurement projects from inception through to contract award. Support and guide colleagues through formal tendering exercises and procurement processes. Promote value for money across all procurement activity and challenge areas of non-compliance. Drive and promote local procurement initiatives to maximise local economic impact. Issue contract notices and maintain procurement statistics and records. Support the management, administration and training of the organisation''s e-tendering portal.
