Senior Procurement Officer£40,000 - £43,500EdinburghHybrid workingMorgan Hunt are delighted to support a public sector organisation in Edinburgh as they look to welcome a new Senior Procurement Officer to their team.Main Responsibilities:Lead and support a range of procurement activities from planning and sourcing through to contract award and supplier management.Provide professional procurement guidance to colleagues, supporting the development of requirements, specifications, performance measures, and sustainable procurement approaches.Identify and utilise the most appropriate procurement routes and frameworks to achieve value for money and organisational objectives.Manage tender processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating evaluations, and supporting contract negotiations.Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high-quality goods, services, and works.Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify opportunities, encourage competition, and improve procurement outcomes.Ensure procurement activities are carried out in line with relevant legislation, policies, and governance requirements, while managing associated risks.Maintain accurate records, produce procurement reports, and support audit and assurance activities as required.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of procurement knowledge and best practice across the organisation.Main Responsibilities:Must ..... full job details .....
