— we are seeking an experienced hydraulics engineer to deliver sustainable solutions across water, wastewater, energy and infrastructure portfolios. You will work on major capital investment programmes and develop hydraulic solutions for clients, collaborating with a supportive team to drive real impact.

Responsibilities

Lead technical input for hydraulic structures and systems, including studies, analyses, designs, reports, monitoring and troubleshooting.

Contribute to steady-state, rapid and long-term transient hydraulic studies.

Build industry relationships and foster a strong Stantec fluid mechanics community.

Utilise relevant software for client solutions.

Maintain technical expertise through CPD.

QualificationsDegree in a relevant subject (or equivalent) with experience in the UK water industry. Demonstrable knowledge/experience in hydraulic engineering/fluid mechanics, including hydraulic analysis software such as Hades, Varis or Flow3D. Experience reviewing technical content and mentoring junior staff. Most importantly, alignment with Stantec values: putting people first, client focus and service excellence.
