Senior Principal Engineer

Senior / Principal Engineer Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting a Senior level, or Principal level Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation with a strong track record in delivering innovative solutions for hazardous and nuclear environments. As a Senior / Principal Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping projects from pre-concept stage through to delivery, ensuring engineered solutions meet the needs of multiple stakeholders and complex technical requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead pre-concept and concept development for nuclear and hazardous environment projects as a Senior / Principal Engineer. Collate and manage requirements from multiple stakeholders to develop robust engineered solutions. Oversee equipment design, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aspects, and guide design teams to deliver technical specifications. Support prototype assembly, testing, and validation of equipment in-house or on client sites. Deliver engineering consultancy studies and detailed reports, presenting complex solutions to clients and project teams. Mentor and develop junior engineers while contributing to organisational engineering practices. Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or above) with significant experience in the nuclear or hazardous environment sector.
