As a Senior / Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer within our building engineering group you will undertake a key role in delivering our clients’ requirements. You will work with the Arup project leadership to oversee the technical engineering and project delivery. Your Electrical Engineering background will help guide the technical direction of projects and support members of the Electrical team to reach their full potential.You will have the opportunity to use the latest digital tools developed by Microsoft and Autodesk to support project delivery. If current tools don’t deliver what you need, you can help Arup create new digital tools that improve our design process or deliver services to clients in innovative ways.Day-to-day, we work in project groups, supported by geographical discipline teams. Our global network enables development as individuals based on projects and research worldwide.Responsibilities

Leading Arup multi-disciplinary design teams from project inception through to completionCommunicating designs with clients and collaboratorsWorking with internal teams to deliver holistic design solutionsManaging the design programmeChairing internal and external design team meetingsKeeping up to date with current legislation and regulationsWorking with the Project Director to ensure commercial successQualifications

Chartered Engineers (or close to Chartership via IET or CIBSE) with a strong background in electrical building services designProven experience delivering multi-disciplinary design projects within a consultancy; values quality and deliveringProficient in BIM and digital design tools; experience with Revit MEP is highly desirableStrong leadership and communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams and with clientsStrong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering high-quality, technically excellent electrical designs and innovative solutions in the built environmentWhat we offer you
