We are currently seeking experienced CDM Principal Designers and Building Regulations Principal Designers to join a growing team delivering complex projects across some of the UK''s most critical sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on prestigious developments including Hospitals, Healthcare Facilities, Universities, Colleges, Ministry of Defence (MOD) Buildings, and High-Rise Residential / Mixed-Use Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).

CDM Principal Designer

As a CDM Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, managing and coordinating health and safety throughout the design and pre-construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate CDM activities across multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Advise clients on their duties under CDM Regulations.
• Identify, eliminate and reduce design risks.
• Facilitate design risk workshops and reviews.
• Prepare and manage pre-construction information.
• Coordinate the production of Health & Safety Files.
• Work closely with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery.

Ideal Background:

• Proven experience acting as CDM Principal Designer.
• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
• Experience within healthcare, education, defence or high-risk building sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant professional qualification and membership of a recognised industry body.

Building Regulations Principal Designer

We are also looking for experienced Building Regulations Principal Designers (BRPD) who can support compliance requirements under the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage and monitor design work to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Coordinate design teams throughout project development.
• Support the delivery of Gateway requirements on Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).
• Ensure robust design assurance and compliance processes are maintained.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Manage design risks relating to life safety, fire safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal Background:

• Experience acting as a Building Regulations Principal Designer.
• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
• Experience delivering Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).
• Background in complex healthcare, education, defence or mixed-use developments.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through regulatory approval processes.
