Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

Think Recruitment are currently working with a market leading engineering consultancy who, due to continued growth, are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer at either Senior or Principal level.Our client are a real forward thinking organisation who have built an amazing team over the past 10 years, delivering a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects for clients across the UK. They are looking for a Civil Engineer to take a lead role in the technical responsibility for civil engineering design delivery and act as Project Manager / Design Manager for the consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.Responsibilities

Take a lead role in the technical responsibility for civil engineering design delivery and act as Project Manager / Design Manager for the consultancy services.Assist with the development of fee proposals and bids, and new project lead generation.Manage project change control and negotiate fee variations with clients.Supervise and mentor junior staff and provide proactive problem solving advice; consult with clients, other staff members, and statutory bodies including Building Control, NHBC, Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, Environment Agency, Statutory Undertakers, etc.Utilise various software programs (Civils 3D, PDS or Site 3D, Microdrainage or Flow and AutoCAD) and maintain high technical standards consistent with the project design brief.Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations and drawings; develop concept designs; and be actively involved with all projects under direction.Undertake site visits associated with inspections and/or site investigation works.Qualifications / Skills

Proven background in consultancy or a related field.Experience in civil engineering design and delivery in a consultancy environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Software proficiency: Civils 3D, PDS or Site 3D, Microdrainage or Flow, AutoCAD.Ability to develop concept designs and prepare technical reports, calculations and drawings.Benefits
