Senior / Principal Civil Design Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join a major UK programme delivering infrastructure and non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects.

The business is recruiting from Senior through to Principal level, with opportunities to take significant technical responsibility across civil design for treatment and associated water infrastructure.

The role is available remotely and would particularly suit engineers with experience across retaining walls, civil structures and water treatment environments.

The Role

You''ll be involved in:

• Delivering civil design across water and wastewater treatment projects
• Developing civil engineering solutions throughout the design lifecycle
• Designing retaining walls and associated civil structures
• Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings and technical documentation
• Coordinating civil designs with structural, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines
• Supporting civil design across WTW and WWTW schemes
• Contributing to multidisciplinary design reviews
• Resolving technical and coordination issues
• Taking greater technical ownership and responsibility at Principal level

What They''re Looking For

• Strong Civil Design Engineering experience
• Senior or Principal-level capability
• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong civil and structural design knowledge
• Experience with retaining walls and associated civil structures
• Ability to produce and review technical calculations and design information
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination capabilities
• Good technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a remote engineering team

Experience across WTW, WWTW, dams or wider water infrastructure would be particularly beneficial.
