Halian Technologies is seeking an experienced

Senior Principal Business Development

professional for a 12-month contract role within our client’s Global Acceptance and Business Development team, based in London (Hybrid).We are looking for a motivated and commercially astute individual with strong sales, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to drive our client’s acceptance growth across key verticals in the UK. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business development, partnerships, and payment solutions in a global organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a direct-to-merchant sales strategy to increase network acceptanceBuild, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of merchant opportunitiesCreate and present compelling business cases to internal stakeholders (including Pricing, Risk, AML)Negotiate and execute agreements with UK merchantsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure deals are closed and KPIs are metMaintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support long-term revenue growthRepresent our client at industry events, exhibitions, and conferencesKey Requirements5–10 years'' experience in business development, partnerships, or salesProven expertise in contract negotiation, client presentations, deal execution, and pipeline managementStrong background in payments, with a deep understanding of merchant acquisition and network acceptanceExcellent communication and influencing skillsSkilled in stakeholder management across the global organisationContract (long term)Hybrid (London-based)*Please note you must be UK-based/have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this position*Apply now to join our clients’ team and be a part of a globally trusted financial brand driving innovation in the payments space.Seniority level
