Senior Accountant Location: Leeds Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 Working Arrangement: Fully Office-Based Benefits: On-site Parking About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while working closely with directors and supporting junior team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse range of clients, preparing statutory accounts, providing tax and business advice, and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of SME, limited company, sole trader and partnership clients Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards Preparing corporation tax computations and returns Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns Liaising directly with clients on accounting, taxation and business matters Assisting clients with cloud accounting software and process improvements Providing management accounts and financial reporting where required Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships Candidate ..... full job details .....
