Senior Port OperatorLocation: Stanford le Hope Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm Contract: PermanentWe are seeking an experienced Senior Port Operator to join a busy transport operation at Stanford le Hope. This role will focus on vehicle planning, driver management, operational efficiency, cost control, and supporting the wider operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily vehicle planning and routing.Monitor operational performance and resolve delivery issues.Ensure driver hours and transport compliance are maintained.Control operational costs, including VBS bookings, overtime, and nights out.Liaise with drivers, planners, fleet, and maintenance teams.Support junior team members and act as an escalation point for operational queries.Assist in achieving revenue targets and driving continuous improvement.RequirementsExperience within container haulage, port operations, or transport planning.Strong knowledge of container movements and VBS booking systems.Understanding of driver hours regulations and transport compliance.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Commercially aware with experience managing operational costs.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced transport environment.What''s on Offer? 45,000 - 50,000 salaryPermanent, full-time positionCareer development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentIf you have experience in container haulage or port operations and are looking for your next challenge, ..... full job details .....
