This role is ideal for a confident planner who can hit the ground running and manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing a full range of planning applications, including complex minors and small scale majorsAssessing and issuing Lawful Development Certificates and Prior ApprovalsUndertaking site visits and preparing high quality reportsDelivering the Duty Planner serviceProviding pre application advice to applicants and agentsPresenting cases at Planning CommitteeManaging appeal casework, including statements and evidenceThis is a great opportunity to contribute to a busy London borough while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.Essential ExperienceProven experience working within a UK local authority planning departmentStrong background in Development Management, including handling:Complex minor applicationsSmall scale major applicationsLawful Development Certificates (LDCs)Prior approvalsExperience preparing high quality officer reports and recommendationsConfident presenting cases at Planning CommitteeExperience managing appeal casework, including statements and evidenceAbility to provide pre application advice to applicants, ..... full job details .....
