We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planner and a Lead Planner to support the delivery of major high-voltage transmission and grid infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and controlling integrated project schedules across substations, overhead lines (OHL), underground cables, and grid connection programmes (132kV–400kV+).

If you thrive in complex, regulated environments and enjoy combining technical expertise with strategic planning leadership — this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Schedule Development & Integration

  • Develop and maintain Level 3–5 integrated schedules
  • Build logic-linked, resource-loaded programmes using Primavera P6
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning & outage plans
  • Align programmes with regulatory milestones and client requirements

Planning Governance & Controls

  • Apply structured WBS and planning standards
  • Ensure compliance with NEC / FIDIC contract requirements
  • Manage baselines and change control processes
  • Support stage-gate and assurance reviews

Progress & Performance Management

  • Lead monthly updates and critical path analysis
  • Monitor float erosion, risks, and constraints
  • Produce earned value metrics (SPI / CPI)
  • Provide mitigation strategies and early warnings

Risk & Scenario Analysis

  • Conduct Monte Carlo schedule risk analysis
  • Develop what-if and recovery programmes
  • Analyse outage windows, access constraints, and seasonal impacts
  • Support delay analysis and claims where required

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and site leadership
  • Present performance updates at governance forums
  • Interface with client planning teams and regulatory stakeholders
  • Integrate supply chain schedules

Essential Project Environment Experience:

  • High-voltage transmission (132kV–400kV+)
  • Overhead line construction & refurbishment
  • Substation builds (AIS / GIS)
  • Underground cable installation
  • Grid connection projects
  • National Grid / utility framework environments

We are committed to equal opportunities and actively promote diversity across our teams. We believe innovation comes from different perspectives — and we welcome yours.
