Job Title: Senior Planner Employment Type: Permanent Location: Ipswich Project Type: Ground Engineering and Large-scale Engineering Construction Role Summary: Leads the development and management of complex construction project schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to timelines. Aims to provide strategic planning oversight, mentorship to less experienced planners and contribute to project success by implementing advanced scheduling techniques. The Senior Planner''s scope encompasses high-level project planning and coordination, playing a key role in achieving efficient and successful construction outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Producing compliant, high-quality project programmes; Defining planning scope, key constraints and contract requirements; Developing efficient design, procurement and construction strategies for tenders; Preparing tender programmes, planning philosophies, presentations and reports; Producing, managing and maintaining contract programmes; Assessing critical paths and recommending corrective action; Establishing project baselines and managing change control processes; Coordinating resources and monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance; Providing strategic planning oversight and mentoring less experienced planners; and Using project data and KPIs to monitor progress and support informed decisions.
