Senior Planner

Role: Senior Planner (Build)

Location: London

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join the planning team of a leading Tier 1 main contractor in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects, working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes.
• Monitor progress against programme and key milestones.
• Identify programme risks, delays and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies.
• Provide clear programme updates and reports to project teams and stakeholders.
• Work closely with commercial, design, procurement and construction teams.
• Support project delivery, forecasting and recovery planning.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes.

About You

We are looking for a Senior Planner with

• Proven experience working for a main contractor – Tier 1 experience is highly desirable.
• Strong construction planning and programme management experience.
• A good understanding of construction methodology and project delivery.
• Experience using planning software such as P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Must have worked on newbuild or refurb projects
• Knowledge of JCT, NEC, FIDIC is highly deseriable.
