Senior Planner

My client, an industry leading rail and civil engineering firm, is looking to hire an experienced Senior Planner on a contract basis, to join their expanding team in Yorkshire.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the biggest rail project in the North.Candidate Responsibilities:Develop detail within an existing programmeUpdate and monitor progress within a programme against contract requirementsIntroduce and analyse change in programmesProduce and communicate programme information in a variety of formats, using routine and bespoke programme outputsContribute and support operational teams on use of collaborative planning, risk and commercial issuesEvaluate supply chain and subcontract programmesAssimilate and interpret information from tender documentationResource and cost load programmesReview programme robustnessMaintain awareness of latest construction techniquesUndertake analytical assessment of programmesEstablish and maintain internal and external project controls reportingCandidate Requirements:A qualification in civil engineering to HND levelAdvanced P6 userPrevious rail experience, across a wide range of engineering projects , with a good understanding of commercial and contractual mattersExperience and understanding of programming techniquesA demonstrable ability to produce short and medium-term programmes Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
