Our client, a leading organisation in the power utilities and energy sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled P6 Planner to join their team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a range of projects in power distribution, including EHV cabling, substation construction, and innovative low carbon build projects.

• Analyse and evaluate project tender and bid documents to build detailed programmes specifying cost, time, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with tender and bid teams during the tender process to coordinate planning activities.
• Develop tender and bid programmes into construction programmes.
• Produce and update programmes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement and manage change control processes, including early warnings and compensation events, and report impacts on approved programmes.
• Coordinate programme inputs and outputs with the construction team, taking the lead on programme development and updates.
• Review construction progress with input from the construction team and supply chain, updating programmes and producing management reports as necessary.
• Create earned value/project reporting, including resource and cost loading with associated CPI and SPI reporting.
• Identify areas of concern regarding construction progress and review risks and mitigation measures with the construction and delivery teams.
• Assist the Project Manager with planning-related matters and attend meetings with Project Teams and Clients.
• Liaise with Client''s Planners, Construction Managers, and Project Managers as required.
• Regularly visit project sites to provide planning support and collate progress information for reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company planning techniques and manage other Planners as required.

• Experienced Practitioner in Primavera P6 (Mandatory)
• Experience with NEC Form of Contracts (Mandatory)
• Working knowledge of FIDIC and JCT forms of contract (Desirable)
• HNC in a construction-related field or equivalent
• Proven knowledge and practical application of project controls, planning, and construction activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card - Visitor - Yellow (can be obtained)
• Up-to-date with new technology and software developments
• Valid driving licence

• Starting salary ranging from -60,000 - -70,000 per annum
• Car allowance
