Senior Planner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading rail infrastructure contractor delivering major rail and civil engineering projects across the South. Working as part of an established planning team, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and monitoring project programmes, supporting successful project delivery from tender stage through to completion. This role is ideal for an experienced planner looking to take ownership of complex projects while developing towards a Principal Planner position. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6. Produce integrated programmes covering design, procurement and construction activities. Monitor project progress and update programmes to reflect current performance. Identify programme risks, critical path activities and opportunities for improvement. Prepare programme reports, including progress updates, look-ahead schedules and earned value analysis. Support project teams in developing recovery programmes where required. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and commercial teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect project delivery. Assist with planning during tender and pre-construction phases. Participate in programme review meetings with clients and key stakeholders. Promote planning best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the planning function.
