Title: Senior Planner
Location: Cardiff (3 Days Site / 2 Remote)
Salary: -70-90,000 + package

A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join the team delivering a major -100m infrastructure project in Cardiff. This is a key role on a high-profile scheme, where you will take ownership of the planning function and play a pivotal part in driving successful project delivery.

Working closely with the Project Director and wider delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction programme using Primavera P6, ensuring it is robust, accurate and clearly communicated across the site team. You will provide critical planning insight, monitor progress, identify risks and ensure the programme supports the overall project strategy and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project planning function
• Develop, maintain and oversee the Primavera P6 construction programme
• Work closely with the Project Director and site teams to ensure programme alignment
• Communicate programme strategy and updates effectively to stakeholders
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Support programme-related aspects of NEC contract management

Requirements

• Strong UK civil engineering experience within a main contracting environment
• Proven track record as a Senior Planner on infrastructure projects
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills
• Excellent understanding of NEC contracts
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a site-based and collaborative environment
