About The Team
Hi, I''m Savannah, Director of People at Motorway. I’m seeking a highly strategic and commercially savvy Senior People Partner to join the team and work with our Product and Engineering and Central Operations teams. This role drives business growth through smart people initiatives, ensures a great employee experience, and builds a high-performing culture aligned with our business goals. You’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, turning complex business needs into impactful people strategies, and collaborating with our People Operations, Workplace, and Talent teams to deliver joined-up solutions.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team, reporting directly to the Director of People, and working with another Senior People Partner, the People Operations and Advisory team, Workplace, and Talent teams. We’re a collaborative and ambitious group focused on meaningful impact through people.
About The Role
As a Senior People Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and Operations. You’ll connect business objectives to people initiatives, using insight, experience, and data to shape high-impact strategies. This is a senior, autonomous role requiring experience with complex organisations, scale, ambiguity, critical thinking, and prioritisation. You will own the end-to-end people strategy for critical parts of the business and drive change with independence and resourcefulness.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership with understanding of how engineering, product, and central operations teams are structured and operate.
Translate business strategies into actionable people plans, driving organisational effectiveness, talent optimization, and cultural alignment.
Commercial Acumen and Impact
Develop and implement people strategies that directly support commercial goals, including revenue growth and profitability.
Provide strategic insights on organisational design, talent, people experience and performance management to optimise outcomes.
Holistic People Experience Leadership
Partner with People Operations, Workplace, and Talent teams to ensure a smooth, integrated employee journey.
Lead and/or support cross-functional initiatives to boost engagement, well-being, and development, influencing collaboration across teams.
Drive talent strategy development, including succession planning, leadership development, and talent pipeline management.
Design and drive development programmes to enhance leadership capabilities and organisational effectiveness.
Organisational Design and Change Leadership
Lead complex organisational design initiatives aligned with Motorway’s strategy and optimise team structures.
Drive large-scale change management initiatives with strategic guidance and smooth transitions.
Data-Driven Insights and Reporting
Translate analytics into actionable recommendations to inform people strategies.
Develop and present reports on key HR metrics with strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
About You
You’ve been a People Partner or HRBP in a complex business or have operated at senior level with accountability for driving real change.
You can challenge thoughtfully, influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and manage competing demands.
You’ve delivered end-to-end people programmes and owned outcomes in environments with complex stakeholders.
You’re data-fluent, able to pull insights from people data to influence outcomes.
You’ve partnered with COEs before, and know how to build when the infrastructure doesn’t exist.
You bring critical thinking, strong judgement, and a bias for action and innovation.
You care deeply about inclusion, impact, and building healthy, high-performance cultures.
