An established environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their growing team based near Milton Keynes. This role is ideal for an experienced ecologist looking to step into a position with greater responsibility and influence. You''ll play a key role in overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a variety of ecological projects from inception to delivery
• Produce and review technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, and protected species surveys
• Organise and oversee fieldwork activities
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Assist with client liaison and project coordination

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Senior Ecologist or similar role
• Excellent report writing and organisational abilities
• Knowledge of UKHab classification, BNG methodologies, and GIS software (e.g., QGIS)
• Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
• Located within a reasonable commuting distance of Milton Keynes
