Senior Payroll Specialist

A well-established and highly regarded growing professional services business in Newcastle is looking to bring an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist into its team. This is a hands-on role with real variety you''ll be working across a broad client base, dealing with everything from straightforward weekly payrolls to more involved monthly cycles, with plenty of scope to put your expertise to use. What you''ll be doing: Running full payroll cycles end-to-end (both weekly and monthly) for a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from SMEs through to larger, more complex businesses Managing pension schemes across multiple providers from initial setup through to ongoing administration, ensuring contributions and submissions are accurate and on time Acting as the trusted first point of contact for clients, offering practical payroll advice and building long-term working relationships Handling the more technical side of the role reconciliations, manual calculations and resolving queries that need a sharper eye Supporting the development of junior team members, sharing your know-how and helping them grow into their roles What we''re looking for: Solid background in payroll Strong working knowledge of current UK payroll legislation, HMRC processes and auto-enrolment Confident with manual calculations and able to spot and resolve discrepancies ..... full job details .....
