Posted On: 7th August 2024Job PurposeWe are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Payroll Division. This position is based in the UK but will serve global teams.As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our payroll propositions. Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of payroll product development and excellent commercial acumen, you will help grow and scale our payroll offerings, impacting our clients’ financial well-being. The successful candidate will need extensive experience in driving product planning and execution throughout the business lifecycle to support our broad customer base, rapid growth, and scale. This role reports to our Associate Director – Payroll, with matrix reporting to the CEO and CTO.Job Overview and ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with the Executive Team to support growth and new client acquisition. Your responsibilities include:Leading and championing technology product initiatives focused on Payroll solutions by understanding the market sector and competitor landscape.Keeping up-to-date with UK payroll legislation and informing clients of relevant changes.Collaborating with business partners and resellers to understand requirements and develop prioritized feature roadmaps.Re-engineering processes to challenge industry norms.Managing the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to optimization, with partners, sales, and service teams.Monitoring product health, risks, and resolving cross-functional issues.Owning the delivery and quality of product initiatives and outcomes.Maintaining software product management policies and practices for predictable delivery and go-to-market strategies.Updating stakeholders on product progress and ensuring team connectivity across locations and initiatives.Engaging directly with clients to understand their payroll needs, build relationships, and manage expectations.RequirementsYou should be a Payroll professional with:Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.Experience in product delivery, including ideation, investment, planning, risk, change, and stakeholder management in an agile environment.Ability to manage expectations of senior stakeholders and drive consensus.Excellent communication skills for diverse teams.CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.Negotiation skills to balance best practices, expediency, and maintenance costs.Experience delivering managed payroll services across industries.Leadership experience in payroll management or related roles.We aim to transform people management for businesses.
