Senior Paraplanner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join an independent financial planning business going through an exciting period of growth.

The business is independently owned, with no plans for acquisition, and is focused on building its team and continuing to grow organically.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner who wants to develop their career within technical paraplanning, rather than using the role as a stepping stone into advice.

The role You will work closely with Advisers and Directors, providing high-quality technical support across a range of complex financial planning cases, including pensions, investments, trusts and IHT planning.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate and compliant suitability reports.
• Undertaking technical research and analysis.
• Supporting complex trust, estate planning and IHT cases.
• Preparing cash flow modelling and illustrations.
• Managing workflows and competing priorities across multiple Advisers.
• Liaising with clients and external professionals where required.
• Keeping up to date with relevant tax, trust and pensions legislation.
• Providing technical support and insight to the wider advice team.

About you

• Diploma-level qualification in Financial Planning – essential.
• Ideally 3+ years'' paraplanning experience within a regulated financial planning or wealth management business.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, trusts and IHT.
• Experience with cash flow modelling.
• Excellent report writing and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career within paraplanning.
