The RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join their growing water team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of wastewater and drainage modelling projects across the UK. The role can be based in
Exeter, Leeds, London, or Swindon , with
fully remote working available
for senior and principal level candidates.The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing and applying wastewater network models—particularly using InfoWorks ICM—to support a wide range of projects for major water company clients. The position will involve technical leadership, project management, and close collaboration with colleagues across multiple disciplines.Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical delivery of wastewater modelling projects, ensuring outputs meet client requirements and industry standards.Undertake and check complex wastewater and drainage network models using InfoWorks ICM.Provide specialist input into feasibility studies, option appraisals, and outline/detailed designs.Guide and mentor junior team members, providing technical support and reviewing their work.Engage directly with clients to develop strong working relationships, manage expectations, and identify opportunities for repeat and new business.Contribute to bid preparation, including technical methodologies, resourcing, and pricing.Support the continued growth of the wastewater modelling capability within the business.Qualifications, Experience and Skills – Essential
Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, or related subject.Significant hands-on experience of wastewater modelling projects.Strong expertise in InfoWorks ICM (essential).Understanding of the operational, regulatory, and strategic requirements of UK water companies.Experience of 1D/2D hydraulic modelling.Familiarity with SuDS design and drainage network analysis.Proven ability to manage projects and teams to deliver on time and within budget.Why Apply?
