Job Shop Recruitment has a great opportunity for to work as a  SENIOR OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR for a client of ours based in Dartmouth Devon. This is office based in Devon.

Hours of work:

8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Working 40 hours a week

A variation on hours and days may be required due to business demand and/or seasonality

Some out of hours ‘on call’ responding to WhatsApp messages

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Day-to-Day Operations Across All Sites

Take a lead role in overseeing daily operational activity across multiple locations

Work closely with the Operations Manager and senior team to keep everything running like clockwork

Proactively troubleshoot issues and keep standards high at every stage of the process

Monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement operational efficiencies

Team & Workflow Coordination

Help lead and support a growing operational team, ensuring daily tasks are clear and deadlines are met

Manage staff scheduling using Planday, including holiday planning and daily resource allocation

Maintain communication tools and internal systems — from delivery sheets to incident logs

Keep workflow structured, efficient, and agile in a fast-moving environment

Client & Supplier Management

Be a key point of contact for clients - handling queries, service requests, and updates with confidence

Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and external partners

Onboard new clients onto our internal systems, ensuring a smooth, professional experience from day one

Reporting & Business Support

Support financial accuracy through system updates, data input, and reporting (Xero & CRM)

Assist in preparing and issuing weekly and monthly invoices

Collaborate with our accountant and senior managers to provide relevant operational and financial data

Coordinate meetings, calendars, and agendas to keep the senior team aligned and on track

Leadership in Action

Provide direct support to the Operations Manager, Managing Director, and other senior leaders

Step in to lead when others are unavailable -  this is a role with trust, responsibility, and huge potential

About You

Proven experience in operations, logistics, or service delivery

Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy working environment

Naturally organised, self-motivated, and full of initiative

A clear and confident communicator — with both clients and colleagues

Detail-focused without losing sight of the bigger picture

Tech-savvy and confident using systems like Xero, Microsoft 365, CRM tools

Proactive, practical, and solution-focused — you're someone who gets things done

Ambitious and ready to grow — this role has a clear pathway to Operations Manager
