Job description: We are recruiting for a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational Senior Nursery Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful, and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents, and staff. To give support to other personnel within the settingTo lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all timesTo implement the daily routine in your base roomTo plan and organise staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Local Authority guidelines and setting proceduresPromote positive relationships in the early years settingPromote the health, safety and well-being of the childrenSupport the development of the children''s development learning and playBe a key person, carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their familiesSupport the children''s social, emotional and mental wellbeing reflecting a Trauma Perceptive Practice approachContribute to the effectiveness of team workTo be a role model and be able to showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with childrenTo take responsibility alongside the Nursery Management Team for the safety, security and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at all timesTo ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with the Local Authority and Company proceduresTo embrace, understand and promote Small Wonders and to understand the role you play as part of the team to provide high levels of care and educationTo work alongside the management team to be responsible for Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at nurseryBenefits

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualificationExperience within an Early Years leadership roleExperience of developing high performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, delivery of high-quality pedagogy, innovation and service excellenceConfident decision maker, with ability to support change and the understanding of the complex relationship between business/commerce and service excellence within a regulated settingStrong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with childrenAbility to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, parents and external ..... full job details .....
